The academy runs a flourishing DofE programme, with large numbers of students successfully completing their Award each year. We offer the Bronze Award in Year 9, and the Silver Award in Year 10. Students undertake Skills, Physical and Volunteering sections, plus a practice and a qualifying expedition. At Bronze level, expeditions are usually in Norfolk; for Silver, we go further afield, for example to the Peak District.
Through the Award, students develop excellent resilience, teamwork and leadership skills. It is a truly valuable experience.
