Library

At Broadland, we believe strongly in promoting a love of reading. We want all our students to have excellent levels of literacy in order to access the curriculum fully and to fulfil their academic potential. We are very fortunate as a school to have a very well-resourced library with a full-time librarian, Mrs Wales, which means that we are able to open our library every day to students, including before school, break and lunchtimes.

The Academy has invested heavily in providing the students and staff with a wide variety of books and resources for their enjoyment and to enhance their learning experience.  Currently, the school library holds over 7,500 resources including books, audiobooks and e-books.  The resources cover all ability levels to ensure all students are catered for.  We hold both fiction and non-fiction books.

All KS3 students will have a library lesson once a fortnight.  This hour will be spent browsing and selecting books within the library, renewing and returning books, and then silent reading,  with advice and input from the Librarian and their English teacher.
